Accessible Yoga for All
It can be intimidating going into a new activity with little or no experience without the right guidance. The practice of yoga is personal and each person is the expert of their own body, State of Flow Yoga honors this by meeting students where they are at and encouraging students to listen to their body during practice to make the needed adjustments so that the pose fits the body, not the other way around.
Every class begins with the invitation to meet yourself where you are in that moment. The teaching is an invitation rather than an instruction, which encourages students to explore the practice with curiosity and patience. In our classes teachers will mostly remain on their mat space and do not offer hands on adjustments, giving students the space they need to safely explore. Class themes are inspired by yogic philosophy, elements of nature and astrology and positive psychology with the intention of exploring how we may use lessons from our physical practice and integrate them into our daily lives and mindsets.
