About State of Flow
Inspired by the hummingbird, I aim to find stillness in motion, honoring the many ways in which each person uniquely connects to a state of presence in embodiment. This resilient, yet tiny bird, makes many great migratory journeys, constantly moving about from place to place, and trusts its inner knowing that it is on the right path. As an adult experiencing the symptoms of A.D.D, i've become empowered by looking through a unique lens where my neurodivergent brain type holds within it, powerful ways to move through life given the right structure tailored to my unique strengths and needs.
When combined with the right rituals and tools, passion ignites and invites a state of flow where skill and creativity meet peace and groundedness. Rather than fighting or forcing, we can enter a place of allowing and explore the beautiful gifts we have to share with the world.
I was called to create State of Flow Yoga and Wellness to create an inviting space to explore ways to empower practitioners to embrace their own way and to connect with the tools and practices that resonate with them most naturally. My mission is to cultivate an environment that feels safe to embrace all that comes with the human experience including the things we would have otherwise written off as negative, bad or broken.

I began the path to improve my personal well being during my years in college when I attended my first yoga class. Stressed, overwhelmed, and experiencing depression, I was seeking a tool to help me feel more connected to myself. Yoga was the answer.
After a big move to San Diego from Colorado, I found my self in a local studio in Ocean Beach where I learned that we all experience this practice differently and that's ok. There is no right yoga body and no right way to experience embodiment. I decided to take the leap into yoga teacher training and I was never the same again. Teaching has always been a passion of mine - I was a high school teacher, a youth soccer coach, a camp counselor, and eventually became an assistant teacher to a few of the yoga teacher trainings at my home studio. I love teaching students and teachers, so much so that I went on to host a 200 hour trauma informed yoga teacher training with a colleague and we created our own organization working with youth and adults in addition to our trainings and workshops. Sharing these tools that have helped me so much in my own life fulfills me in a way that I cannot accurately express in words.
Outside of my passion for teaching yoga, I love creating art - painting, doodling, graphic arts, and photography, and I love being outside as much as possible connecting to nature. I've recently moved back to Colorado with my husband Kris, our two favorite California souvenirs: our son Parker and our dog aptly named Denver. We are so excited to return with a fresh perspective in this newest chapter of our lives.
